For a long time in my life I was very anti-materialistic, part of this was very much do to with my family’s lack of finances in my youth. There’s no doubt that blind consumerism has lead to many ills in our world, and yet, as I’ve aged I’ve been blessed to learn the difference between filling holes with possessions and the beauty of a respectful relationship with a cherished and valued object.
